Sunscreen Mist at Arts, Beats, & Eats

On Friday August 29 – Monday September 1, 2014 Sunscreen Mist protected 500+ event attendees from sunburn with their Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB SPF15 & SPF30 at the 17th annual Arts, Beats & Eats festival in Royal Oak, Michigan. Arts, Beats, & Eats is a celebration of art, music, & food – all to benefit local charities. This year there were more than 200 incredible performances on ten stages, an arts show, and over 60 local restaurants cooking up some delicious cuisine from metro Detroit! Sunscreen Mist was given prime placement at this event, and received hundreds of rave reviews!

It was drizzling and raining on and off, but when the sun came out so did the Sunscreen Mist customers! Hundreds of people approached the Sunscreen Mist machine looking uncomfortable, however they walked away smiling feeling protected and refreshed! Sunscreen Mist protected Arts, Beats, & Eats attendees free of charge (complimentary), while collecting donations for Kids Kicking Cancer. 100% of the proceeds were donated to Kids Kicking Cancer.

The Kids Kicking Cancer foundation helps children with all types of sickness; they are taught by Black Belt Martial Artists how to manage the stress and pain of their treatments and disease. “Martial Arts can provide a useful modality to decrease pain in childhood cancer and other disease. This can improve patient compliance with respect to medical and surgical management thus reducing disease morbidity and healthcare costs”, as reported in a study by The Journal of The American Society of Hematology. Kids Kicking Cancer was also featured on Good Morning America. This innovative program uses the techniques of the Martial Arts to empower children with life threatening illnesses to heal physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Sunscreen Mist was received very well by attendees, exhibitors, local police and city officials and is planning to participate in next year’s Arts, Beats, & Eats festival.
